Ross County ease past Aberdeen thanks to brace from Brian Graham

A brace from Brian Graham fires Ross County to a comfortable 2-0 win over Aberdeen in their Scottish Premiership match.

Ross County have maintained their strong start to the Scottish Premiership season as a brace from Brian Graham fired them to a 2-0 victory over league leaders Aberdeen this evening.

The home side came close to taking the lead when Liam Boyce raided to the edge of the box and fired a low strike towards the bottom corner, but Danny Ward made the save.

Graeme Shinnie was called on to make a vital block on the line to save the Dons from going behind as he managed to divert Stuart Murdoch's goalbound effort away from goal.

However, County took the lead when Richard Foster found Graham in the box with a pinpoint cross and the striker slotted the ball past Ward.

In the second half, Graham doubled his and side's tally for the evening as he seized on an error from Paul Quinn and shrugged off the tackle of Andrew Considine to find the bottom corner.

Aberdeen came within inches of getting back into the match when Niall McGinn sent a low volleyed effort towards the bottom corner, but his strike hit the post and bounced to safety.

Boyce had the chance to effectively end the contest as Ross County broke on the counter, but he failed to beat Ward from close range.

The visitors tried to muster an attacking threat in the dying minutes, but County held out to earn the three points.
