Scottish Premiership roundup: St Johnstone thrash Aberdeen

Sports Mole rounds up all of Saturday's action in the Scottish Premiership.

Scottish Premiership leaders Aberdeen have been thrashed 5-1 at home by St Johnstone.

The Saints raced into a 3-1 lead after just half an hour, and Steven MacLean added two more shortly after the restart to stretch the lead.

The two bottom teams met in Glasgow, and Partick Thistle condemned managerless Dundee United to the foot of the table after goals from David Amoo, Mustapha Dumbuya and Stuart Bannigan gave them a 3-0 victory.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle scored two first-half goals to win the Highland derby 2-1 at Ross County. Liam Boyce scored in stoppage time but Caley held on to take the points.

Elsewhere, Rory Loy and Kevin Holt scored as Dundee beat Motherwell 2-1, and Jamie Walker's spot-kick was cancelled out by a Conrad Balatoni header during Hearts' 1-1 draw against Kilmarnock.

Results in full: Aberdeen 1-5 St Johnstone (1-3), Dundee 2-1 Motherwell (0-0), Hearts 1-1 Kilmarnock (1-0), Partick Thistle 3-0 Dundee United (1-0), Ross County 1-2 Inverness Caledonian Thistle (0-2)
