Klaas-Jan Huntelaar says that he is suffering no ill effects from his recent knee injury after returning to training for Schalke 04.

Schalke 04 striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has said that he is hopeful of being fit for the Bundesliga clash with Hamburg.

The league rivals head into the match at the Veltins-Arena with just two points separating them.

Huntelaar has been missing the last few weeks with a knee injury, but is confident of taking to the field on Sunday.

"For the first training session [back] that was very good," Huntelaar told Bild. "I have had no problems with the knee. I am optimistic for Sunday."

The Dutch forward has scored seven goals in 22 appearances this season.
