Stearman: 'Sheffield enjoying style of play'
Sheffield United defender Richard Stearman says that his side's success in the Championship this season is down to the team "enjoying" their style of play.

Sheffield United defender Richard Stearman has said that his side's success in the Championship this season is down to the team "enjoying" their style of play.

The Blades, who returned to the Championship this term after spending six years in League One, are two points off the playoff places after 34 games.

Stearman told the Sheffield Star that the club's "unique" playing style could suit them well against Fulham on Tuesday evening.

"Enjoyment obviously helps. If you had watched Chelsea [against Manchester City], that wasn't enjoyable for them. We enjoy the way that we play and has proved successful," the defender said.

"I think it gives you an extra few per cent as well; if you are enjoying what you are doing. We certainly do on the pitch and in the dressing room and training ground and long may that continue.

"The way we play is quite unique and has caused a lot of teams problems in this division. [Fulham] are possibly one of the best footballing teams in this league along with [Wolverhampton Wanderers] and possibly ourselves. It should pose for an attractive game."

Stearman has scored two goals in 18 Championship appearances for Sheffield this term.
