New Sochaux coach Herve Renard faces a baptism of fire this weekend as he takes on unbeaten Monaco in his first match in charge.

Renard takes over a Sochaux side with just one win from their nine matches in Ligue 1 this season, leaving them second from bottom in the table.

Monaco sit top of the table after a superb start to life in Ligue 1, with Claudio Ranieri's men winning seven of nine to keep pace with defending champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Ranieri has injury doubts over Layvin Kurzawa and Emmanuel Riviere ahead of the trip to Eastern France, but Jeremy Toulalan and Radamel Falcaco are both expected to start.
