Matt Le Tissier: 'Southampton can finish in the top four'

Matt Le Tissier says that Southampton fans can start to dream of Champions League football, after two wins and a draw against Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier has said that Southampton fans can start to dream of Champions League football, after they beat Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Dusan Tadic's goal won the game for the Saints and Le Tissier believes that result, along with their recent draw with Chelsea and a win over Arsenal, will give the squad confidence that they can finish in the top four.

He told Sky Sports News: "When you've picked up seven points against Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United, there will certainly be a few more fans starting to believe.

"I think once you get into this stage of the season, anybody down to Liverpool will believe they have a decent chance of making the top four and we're certainly one of those teams.

"The point that we got against Chelsea just gave us that little bit of belief that we can get something out of those big games."

Southampton next travel to Ipswich Town for an FA Cup third-round replay.
