Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin "not worried" about falling out of top four

Morgan Schneiderlin insists that he and his Southampton teammates are "not worried" about dropping out of the Premier League top four.

Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has insisted that he and his teammates are unconcerned about not currently occupying a top-four spot in the Premier League table.

Ronald Koeman's side have been fighting for a Champions League place for the majority of the season, but after failing to pick up maximum points from their last two games, the club resides in fifth.

On Sunday, the Saints were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool, who are also challenging for a European place.

"We always say that what matters is at the end of the season," Schneiderlin told Southampton's official website. "Now, of course, we are out of the top four, but next week if we win and other team lose we can get back in there, so we're not worried about it. We're just worried about getting back to the performance we want."

Only three points separate fourth and seventh, with Manchester United, Southampton, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur all vying for a top-four place.
