Steven Davis: Transfer window was "unbelievable"

Southampton midfielder Steven Davis believes that the summer transfer window was "unbelievable".

Southampton midfielder Steven Davis has branded the summer transfer window as "unbelievable" following nine departures from St Mary's.

Ronald Koeman brought in nine players during the window to replace the departures as the likes of Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Luke Shaw and Dejan Lovren left the club.

Davis told BBC Radio Solent: "It's been an unbelievable transfer window, I don't think anyone could foresee what was going to happen.

"To be fair to the board, the manager has been backed and it's been a good transfer window for us."

New Saints signing Toby Alderweireld is ready to make his debut for the club against Newcastle United on Saturday following his loan switch from Atletico Madrid.
