Southampton sign Pablo Osvaldo

Southampton announce the signing of forward Pablo Osvaldo from Roma for a reported fee of £15m.

Southampton have confirmed the signing of Italian international Pablo Osvaldo on a four-year deal from Roma.

The 27-year-old, who was reportedly courted by Premier League clubs Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, will join the Saints for a reported fee of £15m.

"#SaintsFC are delighted to announce the signing of Italy international striker Pablo Daniel Osvaldo from @OfficialASRoma," the club announced on their official Twitter feed.

"Osvaldo has agreed a four-year deal at St Mary's, and will be officially presented as a #SaintsFC player tomorrow."

Osvaldo joined Roma from Espanyol for €17m (£14.5m) two years ago and scored 27 league goals during his time at the Stadio Olimpico.
