Vicente del Bosque comments on lack of options

Spain boss Vicente del Bosque believes that there is a lack of Spaniards at La Liga's biggest clubs.

Spain boss Vicente del Bosque has claimed that there are not enough Spanish players at La Liga's biggest clubs.

Elimination in the group stages of the 2014 World Cup led to suggestions that Spain were approaching the end of their golden era.

La Roja are still regarded as one of the powerhouses in world football, but Del Bosque has claimed that a lack of options is harming results.

"At the biggest clubs there are not a lot of Spanish players and sometimes it's difficult to find someone at a big club," Del Bosque told reporters.

"However, it's not necessarily a bad thing as we still have three teams in the Champions League and one in the Europa League. Even so, it's a small problem that there aren't a lot of Spanish players."

Spain return to Euro 2016 qualification action away to Belarus in June.
