Scott Parker: Tottenham are ready for replay

Scott Parker says that Tottenham have been encouraged by Fabrice Muamba's progress and are ready to face Bolton for the FA Cup replay.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Scott Parker has insisted that he and his teammates are ready to face Bolton Wanderers this evening, 10 days after Trotters midfielder Fabrice Muamba collapsed at White Hart Lane.

Harry Redknapp's side were visibly distressed after witnessing the 23-year-old suffer a cardiac arrest during the abandoned FA Cup quarter-final last weekend.

Despite the incident, Parker has claimed that Spurs have taken Muamba's improvements in health as encouragement for the replay.

"The game before was obviously quite tragic and something that you obviously don't want to see," said Parker. "But with Fabrice's recovery it has probably helped us a lot, and I'm sure it's helped Bolton as well.

"Obviously, it was a little bit tricky after what happened but I think the lads are fine now because we hear Fabrice is doing pretty well, which is pleasing."

The winner of the FA Cup clash will meet Chelsea in the semi-finals.
