Nabil Bentaleb: 'Mauricio Pochettino gives us winning mentality'

Nabil Bentaleb believes that Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino gives the team the right mentality to win important Premier League games.

Nabil Bentaleb believes that Mauricio Pochettino gives Tottenham Hotspur the right mentality to win big Premier League games.

Spurs, who take on Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday night, came from behind to beat Arsenal 2-1 in Saturday's North London derby at White Hart Lane thanks to two goals from striker Harry Kane.

Bentaleb says that the result against the Gunners, along with the 5-3 home win over Chelsea last month, proves that Spurs no longer fear any opponent.

"Now, we are coming into these big games with more confidence," the midfielder told ESPN. "We are coming into them with the belief that we can win these games. We kind of like this type of game - to prove to everyone they're wrong about us.

"It is just the faith. We all believe we can win these games. We showed it against Chelsea and against Arsenal. We believe in ourselves and will push higher to press the teams.

"We never give up, and we have shown that a few times now. Now we have to stay strong, keep our feet on the ground and keep working the same way in training."

Spurs are fifth in the Premier League ahead of tonight's game at Anfield.
