Tottenham Hotspur assistant manager Kevin Bond believes that the club made the correct decision in keeping Luka Modric.
The Croatian midfielder was reportedly the subject of numerous offers from Chelsea during the summer and made it known to Spurs that he wished to join their London neighbours.
However, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy resisted bids from the Blues and Modric has remained at White Hart Lane.
"You could see Luka has got his head round the situation," Bond told BBC Sport.
"It'll prove a really wise decision on behalf of the club not to let him go."
Modric scored the opening goal during Spurs' 4-0 victory over Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
