Lewis Holtby makes permanent Hamburger SV switch

Lewis Holtby joins Hamburger SV from Tottenham Hotspur on a permanent deal.

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that midfielder Lewis Holtby has joined Hamburger SV on a permanent deal.

The 24-year-old spent the majority of last season on loan at the Bundesliga club.

Holtby made 24 appearances for Hamburg during the 2014-15 campaign.

The German leaves Spurs following a two-year spell at White Hart Lane that also included a stint with Fulham on loan.
