Inter Milan have reportedly contacted Tottenham Hotspur regarding the availability of club-record signing Erik Lamela.
The Argentine moved to White Hart Lane in a £30m deal from Roma in 2013, but he has struggled to make a significant impact during his time at the club.
Despite manager Mauricio Pochettino ruling out a possible departure for Lamela, gianlucadimarzio.com reports that Inter have made it known to Tottenham that they are interested in the player.
The report adds that Lamela is Inter's third choice, behind Liverpool striker Fabio Borini and Paris Saint-Germain's Ezequiel Lavezzi.
It is believed that the Italian club would take the Argentine on loan with the option of permanently signing him next summer.
