Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly offer Harry Kane a new deal worth £200,000 a week in wages in order to ward off interest from Real Madrid.

Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly offer Harry Kane wages of £200,000 a week in order to snub Real Madrid and pen a new deal with the club.

The 24-year-old's excellent form in 2017, which saw him set a new Premier League record of 39 goals in a calendar year, has attracted reported interest from Los Blancos, who have been linked with a bid worth in excess of £150m.

Spurs' notoriously strict wage structure means that Kane is currently only the 35th highest-earning player in the Premier League, having agreed to weekly wages of £110,000 when he penned a new six-year deal in December 2016.

According to the Daily Mail, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is now prepared to offer him terms worth a mammoth £200,000 a week, putting him on par with the likes of Manchester City maestro Kevin De Bruyne, Manchester United stopper David de Gea and Chelsea's Eden Hazard.

Reports in recent days have suggested that Madrid will offer Spurs a nine-figure cash sum plus the opportunity to take back Gareth Bale should they wish to sell Kane.
