Tottenham Hotspur are thought to be considering offering Ledley King a new contract, stipulating that the defender must play more than 20 matches this season.
The North London club are keen to keep hold of their captain, but understand that his chronic knee injury restricts him to one game a week, according to the Daily Mail.
The 31-year-old has only featured nine times for Harry Redknapp's side this year.
King, who penned a two-year extension at White Hart Lane last year, became the club's skipper in 2005.
