Manchester City to offer Emmanuel Adebayor, Adam Johnson for Gareth Bale?

Manchester City are reportedly willing to use Emmanuel Adebayor and Adam Johnson as bargaining chips for Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale.

Manchester City have reportedly outlined a deal which would see Emmanuel Adebayor and Adam Johnson leave for Tottenham Hotspur with Gareth Bale arriving at the Etihad Stadium.

The Premier League champions have been linked with a summer bid for the Welshman, who has also been touted as a possible transfer target for Spanish giants Barcelona.

While Spurs are determined to keep hold of the winger, City may test the club with an offer of Adebayor and Johnson for the 22-year-old, according to Setanta Sports.

Adebayor, who had a prolific season for Spurs, is currently in negotiations with the North London club over making his temporary stay at White Hart Lane permanent.
