Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen is expected to finalise a move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer but both parties are yet to agree on a deal.
The 25-year-old was due to complete a move to White Hart Lane earlier this month but reports have claimed that the clubs are struggling to come to an arrangement over a sell-on percentage fee.
Ajax financial director Jeroen Slop said: "We all hoped for a rapid agreement between Tottenham and Ajax and Tottenham and Jan Vertonghen. It's in its final stage, but in our opinion there is still nothing concrete."
There were doubts that the proposed transfer could have been in danger following Harry Redknapp's departure from the club earlier this month.
