It is believed that Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers have lodged their interest in the 30-year-old, but West Brom manager Steve Clarke is hoping that the chance to continue his career in the top flight would appeal to Defoe, according to The Sun.
Spurs reportedly want an offer in the region of £6m before they would consider parting with the centre-forward.
