Dundee stave off relegation from the Scottish Premier League for another week with a 2-1 win at home to St Mirren.

A 2-1 win over St Mirren ensured that Dundee staved off relegation from the Scottish Premier League for another week.

James McAllister opened the scoring for the visitors before Steven Thompson levelled the game in the second half. But Carl Finnigan got the winner with just 10 minutes remaining.

In the day's only other league match, an early John Sutton goal ensured that Hearts took all three points away from Kilmarnock, who missed out on the chance to move into the top half of the Scottish Premier League.
