Stoke boss Tony Pulis prepares a clear-out of his Potters squad.

Tony Pulis is understood to be preparing a clear-out of his Stoke squad, according to the Daily Mail.

As many as six players are expected to be told they can leave, as Pulis attempts to free up his wage bill in order to boost his transfer budget.

Defenders Danny Collins, Danny Pugh and Andrew Davies have all been deemed surplus to requirements, while Tom Soares, Michael Tonge and Diego Arismendi have also been made available for transfer.

The Potters will attempt to close the gap on the top seven with victory over Wigan on Saturday afternoon.
