Paolo Di Canio: 'I will not work under Claudio Lotito'

Paolo Di Canio claims that he would not take the Lazio manager's job while Claudio Lotito is club president.

Paolo Di Canio has revealed that he will not become manager of Lazio while Claudio Lotito is president of the club.

The Italian was tipped as one of the favourites to replace Vladimir Petkovic but it now appears that Edy Reja is in pole position to get the job following Di Canio's latest comments.

"Would I coach Lazio? With Lotito [in charge], not on my life," the 45-year-old told Sky Sport Italia. "I don't like him and he doesn't like me. Not that it's a secret.

"My future? Italy, England, even elsewhere, we'll see."

Di Canio has been out of a job since being sacked by Sunderland in September.
