Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio has reportedly identified PSV Eindhoven goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet as a replacement for Simon Mignolet, who has been heavily linked with a move away from the Stadium of Light this summer.
Recent reports have suggested that Belgium international Mignolet will join Liverpool, should the Reds lose the services of Pepe Reina to Barcelona.
Di Canio has accepted that he could be forced to part with his number one keeper and as a result has identified Zoet to fill the void, according to Sky Sports News.
The report also claimed that a Sunderland scout watched the 22-year-old in action for the Dutch Under-21 side at the ongoing European Championships.
Zoet is yet to turn out for the PSV senior side, having spent the last two campaigns on loan with RKC Waalwijk.
