Sunderland attacker Stephane Sessegnon is ready to tell manager Steve Bruce that he wants to make a return to France, according to The People.
The 27-year-old joined the Black Cats in January from Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain for a reported £6m fee.
However, the Ghanaian international's family have not settled in the North East and are believed to be keen on a permanent move back to France.
Marseille are said to be interested and may test Sunderland's resolve by submitting an offer during the January transfer window.
