Swansea City head coach Carlos Carvalhal claims that the Welsh side have a "30% chance" of beating Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Swansea City head coach Carlos Carvalhal has described his side as "complete underdogs" ahead of their FA Cup quarter-final clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

Throughout the competition, Carvalhal has opted to rotate his squad but coming through home replays against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Notts County and Sheffield Wednesday have led to the Welsh outfit progressing through to the last eight.

However, while acknowledging that Swansea are in better form than when they last faced Spurs in January, Carvalhal has played down the club's hopes of a visit to Wembley Stadium later in the season.

At a press conference, the 52-year-old told reporters: "They lose very few games and are very hard to play against. It is David against Goliath. I think we are in a better moment than when we played them in the league. In this moment I think we could say we have a 30% chance compared to maybe 10% as we are progressing.

"They will be favourites, they are out of the Champions League so this is the trophy they can win and they will be favourites, but we are on the pitch to try to win and do our best to explore the weak points they have and to cover the many strong points they have.

"We will be ready for this and we are complete underdogs because this is not our main competition."

At the start of 2018, Spurs ran out 2-0 winners at the Liberty Stadium.
