Francesco Guidolin unfazed by Swansea City's talks with Brendan Rodgers

Francesco Guidolin says that he has no problem with Swansea City speaking to Brendan Rodgers before offering him a two-year deal.

Francesco Guidolin has claimed that he has no issue with Swansea City holding talks with Brendan Rodgers.

The club's chairman Huw Jenkins admitted that they spoke to Rodgers before handing Guidolin a two-year contract on Wednesday.

Rodgers, who spent two years in charge of the Swans before leaving in 2012, has been out of work since getting sacked by Liverpool in October.

Guidolin has no problems with Swansea considering other options and insists that he has a "good relationship" with Jenkins.

"I am comfortable," Wales Online quotes Guidolin as saying. "This is the job. The chairman has always been honest, he has only said the truth and it is a good relationship.

"We spoke many times in the last period, and we understood. He was close to me. We had a lot of different opinions but we changed those opinions. Yesterday when he spoke in front of many people at the awards I was very happy."

The Swans are 11th in the table ahead of Sunday's final game of the season against Manchester City at the Liberty Stadium.
