Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup reveals that he is trying to sign a new striker.

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has confirmed that he intends to add a new striker to his squad ahead of the new season.

The Dane has already recruited six players in 2013, but admits that the League Cup holders are still in need of additional firepower.

"We only need one other player - a striker," Sky Sports News quotes Laudrup as saying.

"We want a different type of forward, but we are in no rush. It could take three or four weeks."

Swansea recently completed the signing of Wilfried Bony from Vitesse Arnhem for a club-record fee of £12m and have been linked with former Watford loan star Matej Vydra.
