Swansea City and West Ham United are both reportedly considering a move for Hoffenheim forward Anthony Modeste in January.
The French forward spent a brief loan spell with Blackburn Rovers in 2012 as the Lancashire club were relegated from the Premier League.
However, the Daily Mail claims that the 26-year-old striker is keen on a second chance in the English top flight.
Hoffenheim are thought to be willing to part with the frontman, but only if they receive a bid of around £5m for Modeste, who has averaged a goal every two games in Germany.
Swansea and West Ham may face competition for Modeste's signature from fellow Premier League clubs Hull City and Crystal Palace.
