Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes that Sweden played better than England in Friday's 3-2 defeat in Kiev.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has claimed that Sweden were the better team against England in Friday's Group D defeat in Kiev.

Despite leading 2-1 with 30 minutes to play, an eventual 3-2 loss means that the Scandinavians are out of the tournament.

"We stuck to our game but were unlucky with the goals we let in," the striker told TV4. "They went in the same way we have conceded before.

"But it's just a shame that we lost. We did not deserve it. I don't have any positive feelings now. It's tragic.

"I think we can be proud. We did well and were up against a great team. We were better than them. But the difference is that they scored three goals and we only scored two."

The Swedes conclude their campaign against France on Tuesday.
