Preview: Team GB vs. South Korea

Sports Mole previews the Olympic quarter-final clash between Team GB and South Korea at the Millennium Stadium.

Team GB and South Korea clash in the Olympic quarter-finals at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday, with a place in the last four of the competition at stake.

Stuart Pearce's side defied the odds to top Group A ahead of Uruguay and Senegal, while South Korea negotiated Group B to finish second behind Mexico.

Pearce enters the quarter-final having won two of his four matches in charge of the Olympic side, with the only loss coming against Brazil prior to the tournament.

Korea also enter the match in solid form having conceded just one goal in the group stages, while they have now qualified for the quarter-finals of the Olympics three times.

Team GB have a fully fit squad to choose from, although Pearce must decide whether to bring skipper Ryan Giggs back into the side in place of Scott Sinclair.

The back five are expected to remain unchanged, while Craig Bellamy will almost certainly be joined by Daniel Sturridge in attack.

Meanwhile, Korea have no injury or suspension concerns ahead of the encounter, with Arsenal striker Park Chu-Young expected to lead their attack.

Possible lineups:

Team GB: Butland; Taylor, Richards, Caulker, Bertrand; Ramsey, Allen, Giggs, Cleverley; Sturridge, Bellamy

South Korea: Jung; Yoon, Y Kim, Hwang, C Kim; B Kim, Ki, Cheol, Nam; Park, Hi

Sports Mole says: 3-1
