Mikael Silvestre close to India switch

Former Manchester United and Arsenal defender Mikael Silvestre is understood to be on the verge of signing for Indian side Mumbai FC.

Former Manchester United and Arsenal defender Mikael Silvestre is reportedly close to signing for Indian side Mumbai FC.

The 35-year-old, who won five Premier League titles during a nine-year spell at Old Trafford, is currently a free agent after being released by Werder Bremen over the summer.

The Frenchman is now expected to complete a move to the I-League club in the next few days, according to talkSPORT.

Silvestre joined Arsenal from United in 2008 for an undisclosed fee.
