Chris Coleman: 'Qualification is a possibility for Wales'

Wales manager Chris Coleman believes that his team can be excited ahead of their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.

Chris Coleman has insisted that Wales have every reason to be optimistic ahead of the Euro 2016 qualification campaign.

A change in format means that the top two teams in each group will reach the tournament and they'll be joined by the best third-placed finisher, with the remaining eight teams who finish third contesting playoffs to reach the competition in France.

"There's a bit of excitement in there, anticipation. Everybody's wondering what's going to happen," Coleman told reporters.

"Teams like ourselves - Wales, Scotland, the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland - it gives us a little more chance of maybe qualifying and reaching a major tournament.

"The format that's been before is very difficult for us."

Wales were drawn against Bosnia and Hezergovinia, Belgium, Israel, Cyprus and Andorra on Sunday.
