Wales will play a Gary Speed memorial international friendly against Costa Rica next month, the FAW confirms.

The Football Association of Wales have confirmed that they will be hosting a Gary Speed memorial international next month.

Costa Rica will be Wales's opponents for the fixture on Wednesday, February 29.

Speed, who became manager of the Welsh national team in December 2010, took his own life in November 2011.

The proposed friendly, which take place at the Cardiff City Stadium, will be Wales's first since his death.
