Blackburn Rovers reportedly join Ipswich Town in the race to sign Watford goalkeeper Scott Loach.

Blackburn Rovers are reportedly eager to hijack Scott Loach's potential transfer to Championship rivals Ipswich Town.

The Tractor Boys were granted permission to discuss terms with the goalkeeper by Watford yesterday evening.

However, it now appears that Blackburn have entered the race to sign the former England youth international, according to Sky Sports News.

Rovers manager Kean is believed to be determined to acquire a new goalkeeper before the start of the new season, particularly with current number one Paul Robinson being linked with a move to Turkish club Besiktas.

Loach has made 197 appearances for the Hornets.
