Watford have completed the signing of Lewis McGugan on a three-year contract.
The 24-year-old was available on a free transfer for a short period of time after he failed to agree a new deal with Nottingham Forest.
"Lewis is a very talented player and an excellent signing for this football club," Watford manager Gianfranco Zola told the club's official website.
"He will give strength to our squad and I'm sure our supporters will be excited to see what he can do in a Watford shirt."
Midfielder McGugan came through the ranks at Forest and went on to make a total of 230 appearances, scoring 44 goals in the process.
