Victor Anichebe: 'West Bromwich Albion need to work harder'

West Brom striker Victor Anichebe urges his teammates to 'pull their socks up' as they battle to stay in the Premier League.

Victor Anichebe has called on his West Bromwich Albion teammates to 'pull their socks up' as they battle to stay in the Premier League.

The Baggies are above the relegation zone on goal difference following Saturday's 3-0 defeat at home to Manchester United.

"We're in a serious position and we need to pull our socks up and get some points," Anichebe told the club's official website.

"It's down to us as players to go out there and play as well as we can. As long as we stick together we can get out of this."

West Brom's Premier League campaign continues this Saturday when they make the trip to Swansea City.
