Cheikhou Kouyate: 'West Ham United must be humble'

Cheikhou Kouyate urges his West Ham teammates to stay "humble" following an impressive run of form in the Premier League.

West Ham United midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate has called on his teammates to stay "humble" following their strong start to the season.

The Hammers have been in impressive form in recent weeks, with four wins from five games moving them up to fourth place in the Premier League table.

While there is currently plenty of optimism around Upton Park, Kouyate does not want the team to get over-confident in the coming weeks.

"The wins we have got were good for confidence for the team and we want to keep this same mentality for us and the supporters. We must stay humble and continue to work hard, because this is very important," he told the club's official website.

West Ham are back in Premier League action today when they travel to Stoke City.
