West Ham United boss David Moyes suggests that his Hammers side are facing Newcastle United - who have lost eight of their last nine games - at the right time.

West Ham United boss David Moyes has suggested that he is happy to be facing Newcastle United at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

While Moyes has headed a Hammers revival in recent weeks, Newcastle have recorded just one point from their last nine fixtures in the Premier League.

Rafael Benitez's side can move back above the East London outfit in the table with three points, but Moyes is keen to take advantage of the current situation at the North-East outfit.

The 54-year-old told reporters: "I have known Rafa for a long time. He is a very good manager and did a very good job at Newcastle when they were in the second tier.

"They started the season very well but they have not got good results in their last few games, so it's a good time for us to give our maximum in our own stadium and get the three points. I wish him the best, but not on Saturday."

West Ham have recorded four points from their last two home games in the top flight, which have come against Chelsea and Arsenal.
