Alex Song eyes European qualification for West Ham United

West Ham United midfielder Alex Song believes that the team could secure European qualification this season.

West Ham United midfielder Alex Song has claimed that the team is capable of qualifying for Europe this season.

The Hammers are currently in seventh place in the Premier League table following a strong start to the new campaign.

While admitting that the Champions League might be out of reach, Song believes that West Ham could sneak into the Europa League.

"We have to try our best. If we do that we can finish in the top ten. We might be able to get Europe if we play very well, it is possible for sure," he told the club's official website.

"For me it is very important that we aim high. It is also very important for the fans. I'm not saying we'll get into the top four, but we will try to finish as high as possible in the league."

Song is currently at West Ham on a season-long loan from Barcelona.
