Chris Ramsey: 'West Ham United want Robert Green'

Queens Park Rangers boss Chris Ramsey confirms that West Ham United are interested in re-signing goalkeeper Robert Green.

Queens Park Rangers head coach Chris Ramsey has confirmed that West Ham United are interested in re-signing goalkeeper Robert Green.

The 35-year-old played for the Hammers between 2006 and 2012 before joining QPR.

Ramsey has stated that he is confident of keeping hold of the England stopper.

"They do want him, but no deal has been cut. Nothing firm has been agreed," Ramsey told West London Sport.

"As far as we're concerned he's going to be at the club – and he's performing really well.

"As long as the transfer window's open everything [transfer negotiations] is ongoing. But I hope he doesn't go and as far as I know he's staying at QPR."

Green has made five appearances for QPR so far this season.
