West Ham United have confirmed that the services of Joe Cole, Jack Collison and George McCartney will no longer be required at the club.

The trio will leave Upton Park on free transfers once their contracts expire on June 30 after the club opted against offering the players fresh terms.

A statement from the Premier League club said: "West Ham United would like to thank Joe, George and Jack for their considerable efforts and contribution to the success of the club in recent seasons and wish them well in their future careers."

Meanwhile, the club remain in talks with midfielder Matt Taylor and goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen regarding new contracts.
