Galatasaray reject West Ham United bid for Burak Yilmaz

West Ham United see their offer of €5m (£3.5m) for Turkey international Burak Yilmaz rejected by Galatasaray.

Galatasaray have rejected an offer from West Ham United for striker Burak Yilmaz.

The Hammers have been linked with a number of forwards this summer as they look to provide cover for the injured Enner Valencia.

However, a move for Turkish international Yilmaz has been turned down by Galatasaray, who are unwilling to part with last season's top scorer.

"West Ham United offered us €5m (£3.5m) for Burak Yilmaz," read a statement from Galatasaray.

"But our player didn't demand leaving and also our club has no thought of selling him."

Yilmaz joined Galatasaray from Trabzonspor in July 2012 and has gone on to score 73 goals for the club.
