West Ham United 'told £15m for Harry Arter'

West Ham United reportedly learn that it will take £15m to sign Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter during the January transfer window.

West Ham United have reportedly been informed that they will have to pay £15m in order to sign Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter during the January transfer window.

The Hammers have been linked with a number of midfielders since the start of the month.

Newcastle United's Jonjo Shelvey is among those thought to be on the club's wishlist, but talk of a move for Arter has grown in recent days.

According to The Mirror, Bournemouth have told West Ham that it will cost £15m to sign 28-year-old Arter, but the London club are currently unwilling to meet that figure.

Arter, who signed a new four-year contract at the Vitality Stadium last summer, has scored once in 13 Premier League appearances for Bournemouth during the 2017-18 campaign.
