Owen Coyle: 'Marc Albrighton move imminent'

Wigan Athletic manager Owen Coyle reveals that the club could sign Aston Villa winger Marc Albrighton on loan by the end of today.

Wigan Athletic boss Owen Coyle has revealed that a loan move for Aston Villa winger Marc Albrighton could be completed by the end of today.

Coyle admitted on Monday that he was keen to bring the 23-year-old to the DW Stadium on a temporary deal.

The Scot is now hopeful that a switch can be finalised ahead of his side's home clash against Queens Park Rangers in the Championship on Wednesday.

"I wouldn't rule out, depending how today goes, that we might be able to get Marc Albrighton involved against QPR on Wednesday," BBC Sport quotes Coyle as saying.

A number of injury problems have limited Albrighton to one appearance for Villa this season.
