Luiz Gustavo excited by season ahead with Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg midfielder Luiz Gustavo insists that he is happy at the club amid speculation surrounding his future.

Wolfsburg midfielder Luiz Gustavo has insisted that he does not want to leave the club this summer.

The Brazilian international has been linked with a number of Europe's top sides in recent weeks, including Real Madrid and Monaco.

However, the 27-year-old is looking forward to the season ahead with his current employers.

"I am back in training and I want to play on for Wolfsburg to help the team succeed," he told Wolfsburger Nachricjten. "We are to be involved in three club competitions this season and we want to be among the best in all of them."

Gustavo has four years remaining on his contract at the Volkswagen Arena.
