Kenny Jackett insists that he is not concerned with Wolverhampton Wanderers' managerial merry-go-round after being named the new head coach.

New Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett has claimed that he is not concerned with the club's recent instability.

The 51-year-old has become the fifth manager at Molineux in 19 months following stints from Mick McCarthy, Terry Connor, Stale Solbakken and Dean Saunders.

"Obviously football management is a precarious business, that's not just at Wolverhampton Wanderers," Jackett told Sky Sports News.

"If you're looking before that period, it was a very stable period for Mick McCarthy - he was here five seasons.

"You can look at it either way. I think it's a fantastic challenge for me, I'm excited about it."

The former Millwall boss will take Wolves into their League One campaign following the club's fall from the Championship.
