Wolverhampton Wanderers ready to "risk" Bakary Sako

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Dean Saunders is planning to rush back Bakary Sako from injury to boost his side's survival chances.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Dean Saunders has revealed that he will have Bakary Sako available for selection when Burnley visit Molineux this Saturday afternoon.

The winger had been expected to miss the remainder of the campaign with a torn hamstring that he suffered last month.

However, with Wolves in the relegation zone, Saunders has conceded that he is prepared to "risk" the 24-year-old.

"He can sprint and he'll be available for Saturday. We are rushing him back, so we will see how he trains tomorrow and Friday," the Express & Star quotes the Welshman as saying.

"Is it a risk? Yes. He's ahead of schedule but we've got no choice. We're short of goalscorers – somebody who can score out of nothing.

"If he smacks one in, or scores from a free kick, it might be just what we need. It's whether I start him or he goes on the bench, but he hasn't joined in with us yet."

Sako joined Wolves last summer from French outfit Saint-Etienne.
