Turkish club Yeni Malatyaspor are reportedly keen to sign former Aston Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor on a free transfer.

Gabriel Agbonlahor has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor.

The forward has spent the majority of his career with Aston Villa, with the 31-year-old netting 86 goals in 391 appearances for his boyhood club.

However, Agbonlahor was released at the end of last season, and it has resulted in the Birmingham-born player having to consider his options.

According to Turkish Football, top-flight outfit Yeni Malatyaspor have shown an interest in bringing in the attacker on a free transfer.

The club finished in 10th place in the league standings last season having earned promotion to the Super Lig during the previous campaign.
