Lewis Hamilton's second place on the grid for tomorrow's European Grand Prix has come under threat after race stewards revealed that the McLaren driver is under investigation.
The stewards were made aware of an incident following the conclusion of this afternoon's qualifying session by Nico Rosberg, who claimed that the British driver made it impossible for him to pass.
Should the 2008 champion be found guilty then he could face a maximum punishment of a 10-place grid penalty, which would see him drop down to 12th.
An announcement from officials in Valencia is expected later today.
